Access to foreign stocks, cfd's, fx options?

  1. Is a proprietary trading firm a "qualified investor" and so able to give access to foreign stocks, cfd's, and fx options?

I do not require the capital of the prop. firm, or any role for it in monitoring my trading, but just want to trade my own capital under the umbrella of a prop. firm (or something similar) in order to get access to these qualified-only products. Does this make any sense?

Another question: Could this still work if my trading funds are currently within a retirement plan (solo 401k of my one-person company of which I am the trustee - no trust company involved)? If necessary I could set up a company owned by the trust to invest in the prop. firm.
