AGs - CORN

Discussion in 'Technical Analysis' started by countryBoy641, Jan 24, 2022.

  1. I'm in Southeat Delaware.
Just a couple of miles west of the beach, cornfields (and soubean) fields everywhere.
Feed the chickens with this stuff.
    Chicken ranches everywhere. Most local.
Perdue is a short drive into Maryland.
Protein. They are making protein for humans.
Chart is excellent (both FUTs and ETF). Hasn't made a new high since May 2021.
Bollinger Bands have narrowed to almost nothing.

The futures and this Fund charts are very different.

Futures charts show price is still very far away from the peak.

anyway corn price is in the gentle rising channel.

  3. Right. Whatever ...
Point is, Corn chart(s) are looking a whole lot better than what most people are looking at.

  4. And this is why, if you have CNBC on, you should always keep the sound off.

right. corn price has been rather stable.
Unfortunately, that makes it rather bad for trading.
We need volatility / big movement for trading.

anyway, corn futures have been very liquid.

Continuous contract chart is at the edge of supply.
Oil/ethanol has pulled corn to these levels IMO.

  7. CORN ETF closing at new recovery high.
    Futures contract still lagging.
Must have been some injudicious buyers in the FUTs last May.
