I'm trying to start experimenting simple strategies using options and I was looking both for good free training on options but even more a good demo account. I have opened a few demo accounts around but I'm really shocked at how some of these look oversimplified to the point that you can't believe that non-demo accounts handle real money. IG.com provides a decent demo options trading account (best on I found) but in the demo account it provides only options on indices, fx and a few commodities. Thanks sm
The best things in life may be free but the same does not apply to option simulators... If you are just starting out,Optionnet explorer is worth a look.. It's more of a walk foward simulation as opposed to a backtester.... You remember the old Bell Motorcycle ad?? You got a 2 dollar head, go buy a 2 dollar helmet..
FWIW,I trade thru TOS,but for your purposes Optionnet is probably a better choice as far as simulators. They are complimentary products as ONE plugs into TOS for data and positions... For the record,I have only demoed ONE....Its a great product for traders starting out..
Thank you @ZBZB added to my bookmarks but I was looking for something more like a paper trading account for options Thanks sm
ah, damn what a shame. I'm sorry I didn't check earlier. Seems like they have been taken over by OSTC, which is a pitty because they had tons of educational material on their website, too. Just in case: https://www.ostc.com/learn-to-trade-with-zishi/training-tools/
