If you're looking to trade any of the SGX commodities, liquidity is quite poor. Oftentimes I see 4 or 5 tick wide bid ask spreads during the main session on front month TSR20 Rubber. Liquidity on their Coal and Iron Ore is even thinner.

I would be curious to hear of anybody trading commodities (especially palm oil) on bursa malaysia though.

there are other better places to trade commodities.
eg iron ore -- Dalian DCE
    rubber - Shanghai INE

Sure rubber on Shangai or japan is more volatile and has more speculative participants than say SGX rubber but I was referring to spreads not outright directional!
so are you saying that INE iron calendars are better for trading than say SGX Iron calenders?
Synthetic spreads like Iron ore SGX/ INE ( I think)
Also what about brokers... Asian brokers are way more expensive than US

I wouldn't touch anything that is illiquid.

Do note that US brokers (eg IB) may not offer products from China.
