GBA Presents: THE BARE ESSENTIALS

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by stonedinvestor, Mar 9, 2022.

  1. Dear Elite Traders- you have spoken and I have listened. I have made a lot of money and you have spoken. We cannot have threads that run 666 pages. It makes me look addicted. And I am. That why I have controllers. They try and hold me back. It's fruitless.

BARE ESSENTIALS ushers in a new era at gummybear advisors. LESS IS MORE that's my mantra from here on out. It is our hope that the market doesn't view returns the same way. Do we mean Bare or Bear? That is for you to decide. We are going to keep it short & sweet with no applause bows or shouting.

What took you so long? Looking forward to your proceeding with this "back to basics" thread. Thanks

  3. Thanks MACD I use you often! The re-opening trade is back on in a big way. Rather than list a million names- lets just cut to the chase and say you ought to get CZR into your IRA.

    5 days down 15%! Common.
1 day up 9% common' somewhere in the middle is a plan.

Caesars Entertainment(NASDAQ:CZR)jumped11.16%on a strong day for the casino sector in general.

The casino stock was also added to the Franchise Picks list at Jefferies.

"We believe the fundamental environment for Las Vegas and regional casinos is expected to sustain its recent strength in demand, pricing and profitability. Beyond the base business, this also likely means that the asset divestitures that are in process, namely the closure of the WMH non-US asset divestiture and the sale of a Strip asset, should be well positioned to occur. The current concerns that the company is over-investing in its digital business expansion or that the sale of its excess assets to 888 Holdings may not close should be proven to be incorrect in the NT, and view the recent weakness in the shares as an oppty."

Jefferies also believes announcements of the asset sale, as well as that of a Strip asset could help act as catalysts for shares. The firm pointed to the free cash flow target of $8 to $10 per share, which implies $100 per CZR share when the pivot to profitability in 2023 of the leading digital business is also factored in.

  5. A VORB of an idea.

This Russia situation is fascinating. This is cancel culture- Russia Has Been Canceled.>

This affects 11% or the world oil etc 1/3 of the world's wheat... but it also affects space. In many ways. Primarily the Russians have been supplying the rockets to get NASA to space station.

I started work on this name before the war, then it became too speculative in this environment but I don't want to lose track of this low cost rocket name. It also was a SPAC . Big negative.

As I was looking I realized this could also be weaponized. Basically this is letting a rocket go off a flying aircraft and then it zooms up into space... or it could zoom down... And that got me thinking about missals from space. THE NEXT FRONTIER.

Canaccord starts Virgin Orbit at Buy, sees 'exceptional market opportunity' 02/28 VORB As previously reported, Canaccord analyst Austin Moeller initiated coverage of Virgin Orbit with a Buy rating and $20 price target. As one of "just three" commercial launch operators that has carried out multiple consecutive orbital missions, Moeller sees Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne orbital-class rocket having "an exceptional market opportunity" amid the Pentagon's arms race with Russia and China to field hypersonic weapons, the analyst tells investors. He believes Virgin Orbit's pairing of a small launch vehicle incorporating reusability with a mothership for air launch should enable it to scale more quickly and provide more rapid launch services relative to peers, Moeller added.

Rocket Lab is another SPAC. I know how we feel about SPAC's, I agree but there's a scarcity of investments in the space race. These could really work over a 2 year time frame.

    (RKLB).

-In the near term, there’s going to be a lot of volatility for geopolitical reasons, but if you look at long term implications for a company such as Rocket Lab, from less dependence on Russian rockets — that gives them a much bigger opportunity to use their upcoming rocket Neutron to do a lot more missions.- Bingo-!

-The end-game is that their rockets are going to fly more and be much more strategically important....

TWO NAMES TO KEEP AN EYE ON:

    VORB--

    RKLB--

I did not even see this post when I made that last one in The Garden. I saw the thread, and the last post, but I swear I didn't see the above post with that video. Straight up. Serious.

Bear Essentials #1>>> Generac on pullbacks. $213
It's the blue collar version of Palo Alto Networks.;)

Bare Essentials>>>> Stoney!!!!!... did you like my CAT call at $189? It's up $30! What is that like 15% on a granny stock not over an earnings report?!
Amazing! It has more room too. But it will move with the tide.

Up next, we'll have to give this one at least a month or so... Nike. $123
    Buy Buy Buy.
And if drops in the next few days... buy more.
Their direct to consumer may have hurt FL and a few others, but man just think about it, it's killer for them. No middle man.
Now I know omnicron is raging in Vietnam, but the markets and the big money looks forward. Vietnam will whip covid soon enough.
    >>>>NKE is a Bare Essential to any long term portfolio at $123.

Next up.... pricey, and they report today (PM)... ULTA... Up $13 Weds, it sucks because I was thinking about it yesterday, so we should perhaps let it fall back some. Either way, ULTA has some upside in it.

    NKE, NKE, NKE! (and ULTA)

  8. Van how are you my friend. I have gotten a lot of fan mail lately and people are asking for a certain amount of simplicity. The world is just too much now so if I may let me explain my concept for this thread.

Ideas to be fully presented and thought out and come from some point of view. Ideas to be relevant to the exact moment we are living in-- and then together we are going to buy the stocks.

This is not going to be a lot of shouting about earnings reports etc.

The First Idea is CZR. Buy Today I think. The futures look down.

  9. It would be a test of Biden's stubborn personality but a smart move now would be to green light the Keystone XL pipeline.- Stopping this pipeline is looking now like a HUGE mistake.

TC Energy Corporation (TRP) is a Canadian midstream company that owns the Keystone Pipeline. For now it is a yield play with too much debt... but they have a huge lawsuit against the US Gov for stopping the pipeline... This Russia situation begs for both parties to agree to get the project moving again.

  10. Van please give us a " Now" idea or two.

CAT is around $210 I think. You could argue that CAT will sell more earth diggers now because someone is mining more but who? Nickel? I always see CAT as a farmer's friend but there could be a boost from this commodity situation. If you want to buy it here please make the case.
