Everyone should be very careful about what trades they put on next week. I would recommend not putting on any of the following trades next week. -Long Put -Long Call -Long Stock -Short Stock Reason being, who knows what the hell is going to happen next week! Last week was like a roller coaster between the SPX and the VIX. Right now it is very hard to predict what will happen when they increase the debt ceiling. I would IMAGINE that we will have a nice run, but the media may scare the market so much before they release the news, it is risky to put on short term single leg positions. Either way they can make the increase of the debt ceiling positive or negative news. I recommend the following trades for the next two weeks. -Long Strangle -Long Straddle -Sell far OTM Call Spreads (whatever direction you think market will go) -Sell far OTM Put Spreads (whatever direction you think market will go) EVERYONE PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS AND IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO TRADE THE UPCOMING WEEKS.
