IB margin requirement

  1. IB is about to increase the margin requirement in the coming month. I just wonder are there some other brokers that offer better margin ratio than IB?

  2. Lots do. Most do. But IB is "notorious(?)" for being conservative about margin risk. That's good for everyone involved.

At least TDA, if not everyone else as well.

  4. I personally left IB a long time ago because of how much they vary their margins... Most every other place doesn't vary their margin as much

they charge much less for margin ,so they need to be more circumspect.

easier to take more risk when you rob your customers , like the others

  6. IB just announced the margin increase only affect S&P index futures and derivatives products!!!??? WTF!!!!!

actually i checked with their CS before and they said the margin increase will affect ALL PRODUCTS worldwide. and the increase will just stay there AFTER the election. WTF!!! I've already closed out some of my positions........
