Elon Musk’s Ex-Chief Engineer Creates A New Car—And Says It Beats Tesla

This is why I believe tesla stock is due for a real wake up call. This is just 1 of the competitors moving up in the ranks to compete with tesla. And Lucid is NOT just the only one. Within the next decade the amount of EV cars on the market will really push tesla aside in terms of market share and pricing. Tesla does own the market, but to be honest no one stays on top forever. The amount of competition that tesla will have to fight off to keep their market share growing will be absolutely insane. I believe most of their gains were pulled ahead by many years thanks to the announcement of their stock split, entrance into the s$p 500 and the fact that earnings have been stellar due to ev tax credits and also the tesla carbon credits, once the ev tax credits and carbon credits fade it will take a hell of alot of sales to make up those numbers. Right now tesla is still hot but in due time this stock is definitely ripe for a considerable pullback.

Boasting about your new 'Lucid' is not going to impressive anyone at your next dinner party.

Cars are all about the Brand name.

These company are just looking to bought out by one of the bigger car manufacturers.

The Lucid costs $170,000. Tesla has economies of scale now and can drop the price when anyone competes with them. Full self driving will hinder competition.

All these wannabe EV CEOs all over the globe, like mushrooms after the rain.
    All looking for underdog status.
Not a step behind but, miles.

Thing is, Simon Sinek told this (long)story(short) :

,,When i was at MSFT meeting, everyone was worried/talking about the APPL.
When i was at APPL, everyone was thinking about the future"

Hard part isn't to build an EV. (30~ moving parts)
It's to offer the right price like @ZBZB wrote & most important to have that brand name.

There will be more fails like NKLA, until any new ,,future TSLA killer" will become just another meme in peoples eyes.

That's the elite version. The starting price of the LUCID is $70,000

    Does Tesla?

Lucid is a real contender and are well funded. They know what they're doing over there, as does half a dozen Chinese companies at the moment. Elon can keep paying Google and youtube a premium to skew their algo and flood your feed with videos/ads, it won't stop the competition from arriving.
