Popular doesn't exactly mean good... Also, every system has phases... Some that are good right now can be good tomorrow, and bad ones now can go good anytime. In one view, due to the computer power and sophistication of programs... what is popular is can be said as what is working right now... In other views, trend-following can be said as popular due to it's available knowledge about Turtles and High capitalized funds like Dunn, JWH, and others. In another view, it can be said as technical analysis based systems using MovingAverage, CCI, Stochastics, RSI, and etc... Other ways of seeing it... retail(publicly available) systems it would be Aberration, ONS, PGO, Anticipation, R-Mesa (R-Breaker)...
