AMP are quoting only a US$50 day trade margin: https://www.ampfutures.com/trading-info/margins/ I am surprised, as like you I thought proportionally it would be US$100.
It could be a mistake on AMPs part, perhaps they think its 1/10th of the size, where as it is actually 1/5th. However at $50 margin the day trade leverage is 300:1 which is still a lot lower than ES where the day trading leverage is 500:1.
I haven't looked at their margin breakdown list in quite a while, but notice they have removed day-trading discounts on grains, softs and meats. Wonder what happened that caused them to do that.
