Searching for Prop Firm

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by trader388, Nov 7, 2001.

  1. In search of a prop firm that doesn't require the trader to put up money and allows the trader to trade remotely. Is there such a firm?

  2. There are a couple of firms out there that might get you on board without a deposit or at least a small one.(i.e. around 5K-10K). The usual and customary deposit 1 year ago was $25,000. Nowadays, whether it their magnanimity or competition some have allowed $5,000 or $10,000.

HOWEVER, remote trading might be tougher. Would you give someone access to the markets trading YOUR money and not even be by their side to make sure you don't blow them up? That might be too much to ask. Furthermore, if you are a new(er) trader, it really helps to be in an office setting-at least until you can show yourself consistent profitability. Beleive me, once you establish a track record of minimal drawdowns and good P on your PnL. Most of these firms will accomodate you.

Look up the ff. -Schonfeld securities, WorldCo , Electronic Trading group, Echotrade. Get to know them by talking to them. There are tons of stuff here about each firms pros/cons.

Bright trading has an internship program. Van Buren securities has a backed trader program.

    Hope this helps.
