I have noticed that my browser took 3-4 seconds to display the speed dial. Apparently, this was caused by Microsoft and will be corrected in the next update coming out in October.

But if you have been experiencing unusual slowdowns, you may want to roll back the previous automatic update until the new comes out.

Since my laptop is Lenovo, I may try this:

"Lenovo users have also flagged issues with Windows 10 August security patch and turning off virtualization feature resolves the problem for them."

How do I turn off virtualization?
To disable Hyper-V in Control Panel, follow these steps:
    1. In Control Panel, select Programs and Features.
    2. Select Turn Windows features on or off.
    3. Expand Hyper-V, expand Hyper-V Platform, and then clear the Hyper-V Hypervisor check box.

My main family computer is approaching unusable since the last update. My computer I trade with IB on is sometimes slow loading TWS since the update, and shows 100% disk use. It however seems to overcome the issue and is good during the day. My 6 year old home build that I have Schwab running on seems to run perfectly.
Personally a cabin in the woods with no technology is sounding better every year. If I had an IT department to trouble shoot problems maybe it wouldn't piss me off, but I am the IT department for the family, and am sick of fixing shit from screwed up software.
