https://www.abnamromarketindex.com/uk/TradingChampionshipResults.aspx and he was 2 weeks late for a one month trading tournament!!! ZERO drawdown!!! 287%!!! Can anyone understand what he was explaining about his strategy?
It's more than that... he is a trend follower, but he scales up based on whether his entry on a lower time frame trend (i.e. on a minute chart) translates itself into a "same-direction" trend on the next higher time frame (i.e. a 5-minute chart). He'll then scale in further if the trend on the 5-minute chart translates itself into a "same-direction" trend on a higher time frame chart....
So when do you cut loss (which time frame) and take profit (do you scale out) when using such multiple time frames approach?
It's only a month, whoever swings for the fences and gets lucky will get the astronomical returns. Question is what happens long term.
