Ok, I need two computers (for two IB TWS accounts) and two monitors, preferably 24 inch, preferably all-in-ones. But I want to run them off with one keyboard and mouse. Really don't want to spend more than $1500. Thoughts?
Can you predict all the applications that you can imagine being loaded up and running at the same time in the most demanding situation possible?
Why not just one computer, multiple monitors and single keyboard/mouse. I have never done it, but I think you can partition a hard drive anyway you want. For me, I always have an external storage drive (Western digital) Everything that is important is stored there.
Setup a family office account with IB and you can manage both accounts with one login. No reason to buy more than one PC if it's just you.
No need for hardware, just on a different device. As I said in other thread, 1 login with your most frequent account, 2nd login just for trade order duplications/executions, you don’t even need to spend money on data subscription on 2nd login. A phone would do, a pad or laptop would be better but no need. I execute large but infrequent position trades on ibkr mobile all the time.
Just get one computer, one monitor says 32". You can partition your monitor into 2. It will be tidier and with fewer cables.
