Vermont has the highest vaccination rate...why are Covid Infection Cases Surging ?

There will soon be lots of Covid misnformation / disinformation being posted by Covidiots that still do not understand that most hospitalizations, ICU admissions are those that are not vaccinated.
    • In fact, most will concentrate on the number of Covid infections and ignore the number of hospitalization and ICU admission...a common tactic I've seen since the Delta Variant arrived to the United States. Another common tactic, these Covidis spread the misinformation by quoting anonymous individuals on Facebook, Twitter, or some other social media platform.
Vermont is the latest to show that. The state has a high vaccination but most of the hospitalization and ICU admissions have been those not vaccinated.

    ----------

Vermont has the highest vaccination rate in the country. So why are cases surging?

...Case rates in Vermont residents who are not fully vaccinated are nearly four times higher than in fully vaccinated residents, according to state data. Essex County, the least-vaccinated county in the state, is reporting the highest case rates of any county in Vermont, with 1,022 cases per 100,000 people reported from Nov. 2 to 8. In Grand Isle County, which has the highest vaccination rate in the state, that number was 160.

Statewide, those driving the surge include people in their 20s, who are the least vaccinated among Vermont adults, as well as children ages 5 to 11, who are just now eligible to get vaccinated, Dr. Mark Levine, Vermont's health commissioner, said Tuesday...

The COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be highly effective at preventing serious illness, hospitalization and death. No vaccine is 100% effective, and the waning immunity among residents, especially those who may not have mounted a robust immune response, may be tested by high community spread, experts say.

"You still have pockets of unvaccinated people, even in a highly vaccinated state," said Dr. John Brownstein, an epidemiologist at Boston Children's Hospital and ABC News contributor. "Unvaccinated individuals are the primary host by which the virus will spread and continue to allow for transmission to take place in the community and ultimately create challenges for those that are vaccinated."...

About two-thirds of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Vermont are unvaccinated, with those in the intensive care unit also largely unvaccinated, state officials said this week. COVID-19 patients make up between 10-15% of ICU patients; if that number increases to around 25%, "then the system could be in jeopardy,"

Vermont is also one of 14 states that have seen an increase of about 10% or more in hospital admissions over the last week, the ABC News analysis found.

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

Once again, those fully vaccinated must keep their eyes on the prize...preventing Covid Hospital Patient Admissions, preventing Covid ICU admission, and Covid Death.

Covid deniers will try to distract and concentrate on rising infection cases while ignoring it's primarily those that are not fully vaccinated...the same with the Covid Hospitalizations/ICU Admissions.
    • Covid infections of those fully vaccinated have increased about 30% in Vermont but still far less than the 3x more increase in those not vaccinated...due to waning immunity in the vaccines and in natural immunity from a prior Covid infection.
Currently, the following states that Anti-Vaccine Covidiots will focus on are California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hamshire, and Maine...

Every one of the above states has increasing Covid infections but it's mostly those not vaccinated (anti-vaccine folks will not mention this fact) and the same with Covid Hospitalization / ICU Admissions.

It's going to get worst...those not vaccinated will strain our hospital systems "again" after multiple warnings to get vaccinated to end this Pandemic (except those with religious/medical reasons) while a small minority of fully vaccinated will be a low percentage of those hospitalized because we're now entering the cold weather season when people tend to come together indoor.

Too many anti-vaccine folks out there spreading Covid misinformation / disinformation as they did when the first Pandemic started.
    • Pandemic of the Unvaccinated
On a positive note...many of the states currently with decreasing numbers are because of the help from the vaccine mandates in vaccinating a very high number of our military soldiers and federal employees.

In addition, these states have taken advantage of approved antiviral therapeutic treatment centers for Covid that are free.

The state that's surprising me is California because I didn't know it had large not vaccinated communities within the high vaccination overall population.

Covid is not done. I saw Scott Gotlieb declare the end of the pandemic when Pfizer released a report of its new Covid medicine and thought to myself this is a mistake to make such an announcement.

As the article cites, there are still pockets of unvaccinated people all over this country and as Americans in the north move indoors Covid will still spread. There is plenty of pain still left to go for lots of people.

It's a common problem in the United States and here at Elitetrader.com with the Covidiots.

These individuals see declines in the Covid numbers and will quickly declare the Pandemic is over while ignoring the fact that there are big pockets of those not vaccinated all over the United States.

Then when the Covid numbers begin to increase again...going into the fall and winter months, the same Covidiots will spread misinformation/disinformation that the vaccines do not work. They consistently ignore the fact it's primarily those not vaccinated that are increasing our Covid infections / Patient Admissions / ICU Admissions.

It's the prime reason why I call them out for their bullshit here at Elitetrader.com
    • Vaccines are working for those fully vaccinated via keeping our Hospitalization and ICU Admissions low in comparison to those not vaccinated.
We know which ones here at ET are spreading Covid misinformation while ignoring the fact that most of our infections / hospitalizations are mainly those without the jab...currently, somewhere around +70% of hospitalization are not vaccinated but only about +65% are not vaccinated.

Vermont has a big problem with those big pockets of not vaccinated within a state that's top rank in the vaccination status... it primarily is among those in the younger age groups. These are the individuals putting a strain on Vermont's hospital system.

We're screwing up again but this time it will be more dangerous because our healthcare system is not a few strengths to manage to patient workload.

This pandemic is going to at least go on for another year in western countries before it fades to being an endemic. This is due to to the low vaccination rate in most nations -- well below the 90% threshold needed for vaccinated herd immunity. There was an opportunity in the western world to quickly end this pandemic via high vaccination rates-- these hopes are now smashed due to low vaccination uptake. The CDC and other organizations are now aligning their pandemic goals with a perspective that herd immunity will not be reached for Covid.

    The U.K. view...

Covid pandemic won’t end for at least another year, Government scenarios predict

It's time for the CDC to understand life doesn't need those that are not vaccinated. Also, now that borders are open and international air travel is restarting...

I expect another Variant of Concern to appear within the next year to start this crap all over again. If that Variant of Concern is birth in the United States...the doors will shut on the United States especially if the variant is deadlier than the Delta Variant.

In addition, hospitals are tired of the Covidiots. Our Covid numbers are starting to tick up again as I stated a month ago that will happen when international air travel restarts and the cold holiday season begins when people gather indoor...

I expect many hospitals will use triage medical care via telling those with Covid illness to stay home...treat themselves, use a nearby approved antiviral therapeutic treatment center, or contact their Doctor via tele-med.

    Overnight

It doesn't matter the fack the vaccine rates are. This Covid shit is going to be in the news for YEARS. It will be with us for years! Years and years! It is inevitable! And as I have been banging on about since the Delta variant first appeared...There are plenty of letters left in the Greek alphabet.

Omega is a long way away.
