The strangest thing about FNGS is that it is less liquid than it's 3X counterparts FNGU & FNGD which are also run by BMO. FNGS has avg daily volume of 140K vs. 1.4M for the leveraged ones. Even MAGS which is basically a 7/10 subset of FNGS only has an avg daily volume of 240K. On the other hand TQQQ & SQQQ are both very liquid -- close to 100M per day.
