But really that is hard cause you have to tell yourself you are not very good at something.
I am not doing posts for awhile, I have other things I am getting into, but if you want to chat from time to time, feel free.
You see enough chart patterns, you have learned to adapt.

1996, a 401k into an LLC which became legal in 1995, you can do so much more like your retirement money you wouldn't believe. I have started business with these monies and buy lots of real estate, little tricks go a long way. I love day trading ES, I wake up each morning knowing I will make money and I average down on each trade, I designed a method where 55% of the trades end up at plus one tick on original opening signal, but all the add-ons get more than one tick, and say I have added on up to 8 ticks away and market rapidly goes my desired direction for the 8 ticks, I end up getting + 16, + 15...+ 8 ticks, so once you have faith in you system of not losing, why not ave down? That's what trading is about, knowing who you are, your weaknesses and when market is at your weaknesses, knowing when to stop trading.

I tried in my early years to jump on board trends, but big brokerage don't trade this way and you don't hear them going out of business? So I learned how they trade long term and designed my methods. So they are traded at different firms to spread risk of them going under. Also through the years, here is a trick not many are aware, you can exchange your account into a different currency from US Dollars to say Euro, which is another way I make money, some years back I saw it time for Euro to starting trending up dec 2005, I switched 1/3rd of my holding from whatever currency I had(I always have my funds in three different currencies) into Euro and it is like trading as nothing happened, so I make money on my trading and when I think a top is in, I exchange the currency into something else. This approach has doubled what I have accumulated. 98% of what I trade in what was once,

Any guy with what $2500 can open an account?
I have worked so hard at "what if" something happens, that save my bacon from losing hugely. When one minute bars gets too big, my platform my staff built for us just will not allow us to day trade. I never had much ability to read the market as some can, I know most of what I can't do, I am a decent system trader, but trading without a system, be like throwing darts at a wall, I have to have rules and yet I don't use protective stops, in anything including long term trading. Long term we sold near the highs of all the indexes, bought calls to hedge, at some point sold calls for losses, and at some point have new idea where mental stops are to factor in losses on the hedge, we use to use big S&P for long term but volume sucks so we have to use that many more of ES contracts and take profit on half position at 40 points, in essence, it become a $10k trade based on if we were using S&P contracts.

I have a long term program at three brokers (I lost a little when Waldock went under, so have to spread it out) and I have automated systems at one broker who also leases me a seat at CME and Nymex. I have a small staff now that trade my funds only on 2.5 shifts, and I watch several markets for day trading when I want to day trade, which is almost each day. I have mastered ES well, been either studying/trading since big S&P500 came out in 1982 I believe it was year, was much easier to make money when you had to phone in orders, you had real traders then, not the slop there are today.

I have actually posted exactly my entire method of how I day traded few years ago(have changed my approach since then) and only two saw it, at least two that confirmed at the time on how I "scalp". As far as adapting to market conditions, the way I have done in past 22 years,

      HI,

My "Guru" moments have come and gone when I was into that back in early 90's, won a huge trading contest, owned a brokerage, managed money and slide back into unknown. I have always tried to give value when posting here on ET, but I am just too tired any more of fighting the naysayers. There are many vendors here that hide just under ET radars and they tire my approach of helping as I often post about methods they use and don't like when I post about them, LOL. After trading since 1978, there are very few secrets any more, a few but overall...
