    5/5,
AMP is very good for it's own particular niche (punting on futures and long options on futures. That's it). They expect the trader to know what they are doing, provide a low commission without having to haggle, and give you enough rope to hang yourself if you so wish. It's your job to not hang yourself.

They are not Interactive Brokers or TDA or Schwab etc. They provide a much narrower subset of services but do it really well and provide a lot of free / low cost platforms and data feeds. I have used them on and off for 10+ years and never had any problems beyond the occasional and ordinary data feed issues that I have had with every single broker I have used. And their communication about margin changes etc. is top notch.

Really, nothing to complain about. When you sign up, make sure they provide what you need, pay attention to their communication and don't expect them to provide more markets etc. that they don't already provide. Don't expect them to provide risk monitoring for your short options, vix margin offsets etc. etc. You will be a happy camper.
