It all depends on how you budget your lifestyle.....

If you have a cool 2.5 million sitting in a 5% interest account most I hope could live off that interest alone!

Rich and wealthy means nothing but 2.5M at 5% per year you’re living in the top 20% of income in the USA.

  4. You'll need more for boats and hoes.

As of June 2024, the United States had 7.43 million millionaires, which is a 7.3% increase from 2023. This number represents 6.6% of the country's population, and is more than any other country in the world.

  8. Feeding how many mouths?
Feeding just yourself is one thing.
    Feeding a family of 4?

"Wealthy" or just "rich"? There's a difference.

$2.5 million is the median house in Sunnyvale. So you're going to need a little more. I'd say in Santa Clara County you will need at least $5-7.5 million.
