My trading station. Right 9 screens are for trading, top is bloomberg, the left 6 screens are for R&D and for my programmer.
Looks like you're sharing an office space with others. How many other traders you sharing with and do you help each other while trading ?
Currently 6 others in our office, there used to be more but they got flushed out by the market. We help each other out all the time, most offices arent as collaborative as ours or so I hear.
Are you doing various options strategies with different symbols/markets, or daytrading a single stock using options - the reason I ask is because one approach might be easier with a good few monitors and the other can be done with just one laptop, or one laptop plus 2 dvi monitors max. I have built several pc's very cheaply, using second hand equipment, that can handle up to 8 dvi monitors easily with one graphics card, and 16 if you want with just 2 graphics cards!!!! - it has been a while since I built my last one, as I currently don't use any more than one laptop and 2 dvi monitors max - at the moment I am only using my laptop due to time constraints. How many monitors do you think you need? J_S
Hi rolando, what do you guys trade, as I visited a very similar office to what you have shown some years back, each guy was only allowed 4 monitors max due to limited space and were only allowed trade NYSE stocks! I assume the guys that blew up had to put up about $5k or more before they were left start? Do ye have to use the broker/platform provided, or have ye got a choice? J_S
