I think that this is a kind gesture by AAPL. Apple cardholders can skip payments without incurring any interest. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...rd-holders-defer-april-payments?sref=JfqbOIWW
This is becoming somewhat of a joke. I got a credit card offer from a card I already have saying that for the remainder of the year they will lower my rates to 7% from the gigantic 22% they charge me now. All of the sudden they want to be buddies with me, the time when everyone is cutting back on spending they want to lower rates and have people defer payments to entice consumers to keep spending, fuck that and fuck those companies!!!!!
So you think that the motivation for lowering rates, allowing payment skips, and offering interest-free months is to keep people spending?
Of course. That's what its only about. Corporations could care less about your well being, they are advertising like crazy how they are there for you and trying to help you through these difficult times, its all garbage, you yourself is the only one who can take care of you. These corporations are creating these systems of deferring payments and giving you credits and stopping interest to make sure you keep spending those dollars else where. Its all a game.
No I suspect it's a please don't go bankrupt, we are your mates, please pay us off first before you do because if millions of you default on your payments then you know 2008 all over again, on top of zombieland ( just because no zombie's yet, doesn't mean there won't be any, feardemic doesn't have to make rational sense )
Wow did I miss the self-interest in this move. I thought that they were extending a helping hand to the public in time of need.
%% Yes; + not to be judgemental, but we have to use discretion/judgement all the time. And they want card holders to get in the habit of not paying off the card.LOL Come to find out, kms, most people don't use many of thier airline miles/free miles/card rewards...……………………………………………………………...…………………………………...
