After learning about Chinese wet markets, let me introduce you to gutter oil

So you think the Chinese government is going to close down wet markets or at least enact laws that makes them more hygienic? Well, think again. There is nothing what humankind or specifically the Chinese can do so this epidemic would not be repeated. Poor people do anything to survive, and the rich like to eat exotic food.

    Gutter oil:
"Chinese civilians would open sewers / man hole covers, and extract the contents using long poles, and then boil the contents to extract oil to sell to restaurants for cooking."

Yes, people visiting China and eating at the Holiday Inn buffet (not a joke) got sick because the oil contained gutter (or sewer) oil. For further discussion:

"Happened to me too on my most recent visit. Also from a hotel buffet. I was shitting and vomiting bile"

"A documentary I watched indicated 10% of all cooking oil in China being contaminated with "Gutter Oil" since they will cut real cooking oil with the gutter oil to reduce costs/sell more. They have commercial drums of this stuff that they'll distribute to restaurants, hotels, and street vendors."

I was literally in bed for 1 month ( cold sweats, diarrhea, headaches ) after eating at a restaurant in Wuhan in 2010. The restaurant was cited for using " gutter oil " in the local newspapers about 2 weeks after my visit.
Interesting enough, the other Chinese people that ate with me, suffered no sickness.

  7. Gutter oil, when I saw a video on it years ago it did not shock me. My nephew was told all the time "Get away from my food stall, you Westerners(Lao Gui Foreign Devil) get sick from my food.

I went to Vietnam for a 2 week holiday a few years ago, was very sick for the second week, I was just coming right then violently sick coming home on a Royal Brunei flight, that gave me problems for another 2 weeks after getting home.
Never again going to those Asian shitholes, a holiday in Australia may be more expensive, but it's safer!

  9. I wonder if you got parasites from the food or water? Once you get stomach problems their dam hard to get rid of.
