AMP Futures is excited to announce Asia's Most Liquid Futures Contract (Mini-Nikkei 225) is now available for Live Trading.

Mini-Nikkei 225 is the most liquid futures contracts in Asia. The notional value of one contract is 100 times the value of the Nikkei 225. It is a tenth of the contract size of Nikkei 225 Large Contracts.

When comparing the daily trading volume to any US Futures Markets it is very close, if not larger than the ES (Emini SP500).

This is for all trading platforms connected to AMP/CQG datafeed, such as AMP's FREE versions: MultiCharts, TradingView, Sierra Chart, CQGM.

    Contract Specs:

CQG Symbol: MJNK (For example - MJNKM16)

    Margins: Maintenance: $1'000 DayTrade: $500

Trading Hours: Open 7pm CST (Chicago) - Closes 1:10am CST (Chicago)

After Hours (Asia Night Session) Re-opens 2:30am CST until 12:55pm CST

Tick Value: 1 Tick = 500 YEN or approx. $4.56 USD

The Price for trading is very inexpensive, now one of the cheapest available markets/contract at AMP. The base per contract fee is only $1.25 + Normal Commissions will apply.

I am very excited to see AMP adding Osaka mini Nikkei futures. However, commission seems to be very expensive. Interactive Brokers is only charging 40 yen per side which is about 37 cents one way while AMP is charging $1.25 + normal commission. Am I missing something? 3 times competitor does not make sense to me. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for bringing this price difference to our attention.

We have adjusted the pricing to Match IB's Fixed pricing:

40 YEN per side/contract for account balances $10'000 or greater.

Any Trade Routing Fees, Platform Fees (per contract or Monthly Platform Fees) and any Monthly Exchange Data Fees will STILL be charged.

    Happy Trading!

  5. The Nikkei Mini is excellent for trading if your schedule allows you to trade the day session. But the evening session can be good too from time to time.
I've been trading the Mini locally for years. AMP's 40 yen is the same as the local brokers charge. But some brokers charge 25 yen for 'this session only' trading.
There is no economic data released during market hours that moves prices except for BOJ's policy meeting once a month.
