APEX Funded Accounts: Denied Payouts and Closed My Accounts – My Experience

Discussion in 'Trading' started by prop_trader_1980, Dec 18, 2024.

  1. I've been trading with APEX for over a year, consistently paying evaluation and Performance Account (PA) fees, which totaled thousands of dollars.

Recently, after reaching my payout requests, I was asked to submit videos of my trading sessions to verify I was the actual trader. I complied, submitting multiple videos that demonstrated my strategy and trading sessions. Despite this, APEX accused me of not being the account owner/trader and proceeded to deny my payout requests, close my accounts, and retain approximately $20,000 in funds.

This experience has been devastating, as I trusted APEX and never anticipated such treatment. Watching YouTube videos that warned about potential payout issues with APEX after this experience makes me feel that this might not be an isolated incident.

I’m sharing this to warn others who may be considering trading with APEX. Be cautious and ensure you fully understand the risks and policies before committing to any prop trading firm.

  2. Good Morning prop_trader_1980,

I am very sorry about your bad experience with Apex.

    Question:

    1. What evidence or data/documentation did Apex provide you of the following "APEX accused me of not being the account owner/trader"

How did Apex prove to you that you was not the Account Owner and Trader who made $20,000?

    Thank you

The problem is, once the wheel or lavine goes the hill down, you do not want to be the last person waiting for payouts. Apex has been doing much worse lately and there is a serious mismatch between incoming new challenge fees to pay the existing and coming payouts. So they frequently changed the rules for the worse. Now you can imagine that there are less challenge fees incoming from new traders at Apex. And then the Ponzi can fall to bottom. Nothing special for such a "prop firm". There has been many insolvencies so far in 2024, also bigger ones. Expect more such failures in 2025.

  5. Hello Sekiyo,

What do you mean by this?

  6. Hello TrAndy2022,

So are you saying Apex really do not have the money in their savings account to pay traders once they ask for payout?

They are using the evaluation fees to payout traders?
