the left is going to have to find a way to stop this.
It makes me wish I had not put the trolls on ignore...
    So let me say...
Obama did no do this. he had 8 years.
The fed did not do this...
govt spending did not do this.

deregulation, tax cuts and a business friendly govt unleashes business' ability to grow the economy.

The American economy is on track to grow at a 5.4 percent annualized rate in the first quarter of this year, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow forecast model showed on Monday.

The regional Fed’s forecast rose from last week’s 4.2 percent growth following a report on manufacturing that showed more expansion than expected. The forecast of real consumer spending growth rose from 3.1 percent to 4.0 percent, while the forecast of investment growth soared from 5.2 percent to 9.2 percent.

This is an early reading, based on just one-months data. Even the most optimistic economists do not expect the economy to expand at that rate in the first quarter.

Both the Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow and the New York Fed’s Nowcast had readings for the fourth quarter of 2017 that were substantially higher than the official initial estimate, which came in at a 2.6 percent annual growth rate.

I think your analysis of the why is spot on. I have been waiting a long time for less regulation and lower tax rates to be put into practice so that we can prove this point once and for all.

I know you know its been proven time and again.... already.
they will pay economists to find some fake models to act like it was something else.

    socialists won't give up.
russia, china, europe proved socialism failed.
yet we have CA and democrats pushing it within a decade of the wall coming down.

Socialists don't care about what works for the govt and the people they care about the power to control.

I do agree that it has been tried numerous times and succeeded each time. I think I am being naive thinking that we could "prove" the point once and for all.

If the economy improves strongly... it will prove it for thinking people.

There will be all the non workers and those who suck off the govt as individuals or business who will not really care or will actually be against better govt.

  6. Trump has to create large deficits to goose the economy.

Obama did have a 5.2% quarter while reigning in the deficit:

Trump is running the same game plan that Dubya ran that was essentially created under Reagan: tax cuts for the rich, increase govt spending, remove regulations for industry to consolidate and tell the non 1%er's some bullshit story to distract them from figuring out what's really going on.

Remember the political axiom: If you don't want a mess, vote Democrat.

The real phrase- “If you’re a parasite, vote Democrat”!

LOL, Dems going to have a tough time explaining this one away if it comes in at 5.4%, Reagan averaged over 4% when faced with the same type of recession, Atlanta Fed has been notoriously inaccurate so id be anxious to see the actual number but if it happens and Trump pulls it off the whole liberal narrative blows up in their faces.

What are you long in your book in this booming economy?
College tuition payments, gas guzzler truck, over priced McMansion, gonzo insurance premiums?

I'm willing to bet $10,000 that we get a GDP print below 5.4% for Q1 2018. Let me know if there is anyone who wants to take the over on this bet.

Edit: I'm not joking about this - I will arrange the bet on a secure betting site if anyone is interested.
