Best Options Platform?

Discussion in 'Options' started by Chris Paciello, Oct 4, 2015.

  1. Anyone have some good recommendations for a platform to trade options mostly on?

If it works with a Mac even better ...

I'm debating between TradeStation and OptionsXpress. Even Lightspeed looks reliable.

Most of my clients use Silexx OEMS or Sterling Trader Pro. I prefer Silexx for options.

  3. Has anyone ever used Options House?

    Are they any good

  4. What's the cost of Silexx?

The basic version is $200/month and the pro version is $400/month.

  6. Chris, I have a few accounts and cash with Options House and have traded with them since the turn of the Millennium. I also have accounts with many firms, even Options Xpress. What do you want to know about Options House other than I pay $.10 per contract plus $6.00 since all my accounts were grandfathered in before the Merger.

Robert provided you with a great resource that's very fast and will get you the best fills saving you bank! If you want to talk privately you can start a thread, after dealing with that Punk I don't start private threads anymore.

  7. Thanks for the info to all that replied! Much appreciated

I just wanted to get personal experience with the lowest options rate from anyone who has used either or can recommend a better option

TradeStation has offered me the lowest rate so far

Consider too what options you will be trading. Some firms include the exchange fees in your rate and others will add it on. For example if you are trading the SPX or VIX options, the exchange rates are around .50 per contract, so this could be a substantial addition.

  9. I find it hard to believe that the only place I found that offers the lowest options trade is TradeStation. They have an option where you can choose to pay per contract for $1 per contract or $4.95 base plus commission.

Anyone know of somewhere else that offers the same as TradeStation per contract instead if base+commission.

I'm looking to scalp so a base plus commission is a bit too much..

lightspeed and interactive brokers probably offer the lowest commission with no base
