Bloomberg intraday data only 250 days history

  1. So you pay USD 24,000 per year for 250 days of intraday stock data.

Is there a data vendor with a longer history than 250 days and the ability to scan intraday data?

I used to have a bloomberg and asked them why is so limited for historical data. I complained about this and was told the high volume of support requests for old data was a big issue for them as well as its just a niche market generally.

    You might try

    kibot.com
    Algoseek.com
    firstratedata.com
    tickdata.com

Depends yr budget and how far back you need the data...

  3. Define "intraday data". If you need like tick data maybe you are limited but try to have a slightly lower frequency (5min, etc) to get more data

what is it you are hoping to find that you won't find analyzing the last 250 trading days, though?

  6. 250 days is nothing. I have profited from strategies lasting 15 years. I have tested hundreds of strategies working for at couple of years that were reversed going back 3 years. I need much more than 250 days to gauge the odds.
