buy stock, or sell Puts ?

  1. In a Cash account [not taking on Margin]
if one wants to participate in a stock, is either one better?

I suspect, it may depend on my long term prediction...

    Long stocks is better.

  3. There is no silver bullet. If you sell puts and the stock moves very fast very far; then you loose on the potential additional gain if you were instead in stock. On the other hand, if it does a slow grind higher, selling puts is better.

The best way is to do both. And stagger in time and pricelevels also.
