Can I get a chart for a specific date?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by interdigital, Oct 25, 2007.

  1. Is there any free site that will let me see the stock chart for a specific date in the past?

Like if I want to see the stock chart for IDCC on 8/8/2007, where can I find that?

I know opentick will provide you the data for free. If you could find a provider that will "read" openticks data than your set.

    interdigital,

    2 sites for you:

    1) Go to Yahoo, click on 'FINANCE' and then type in your stock symbol, and then on the left menu click on 'Historical Prices':

    http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=MSFT,+

    http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=IDCC&a=07&b=1&c=2007&d=07&e=31&f=2007&g=d

    2) Go to Google Home Page, click on 'more' from their menu. Then click on 'Finance' and type in your Stock Symbol. Then above the chart click on 'Historical Prices'.

You can also use the scroll bar under the Stock Chart to bring up the 'big picture' of your stock over whatever time frame you wish -nifty !

    http://finance.google.com/finance?q=msft&hl=en

    http://finance.google.com/finance/historical?cid=288096&startdate=Aug+8,+2006&enddate=Aug+31,+2007

    I hope this helps.

    www.prophet.net is a free site.

Attached is a daily 1-minute chart for InterDigital on 8/8/2007 from Prophet.

You can select: line; candle; area; bar; or percent.

Make sure you set up the chart for want you would like to see in current time (ex. 1 minute, 5 minute, etc...), then change the duration to get that setup in a different time frame.

    Best of luck with Interdigital.
