Hy new girl here, Can you make more money with cryptos than with forex? And are cryptos easier to trade to arb and hedge?
Of course the answer is cryptos because they are more volatile than forex! But on the flip side cryptos can offer bigger losses too.
Yes, but it doesn't really matter, because long-term, successful trading isn't about how much money you can make: it's about how safely you can manage your risk. Apologies if I sound critical (not my intention at all) but fundamental questions arising from a perspective of profit-maximization, rather than from one of risk-management, are kind of "missing the point", really. And welcome to the forum, Viorela.
If more volatile less margin, so that will make little difference, if a profitable frequent trader, cost ( often presented as spread though are 2 different things ), and the idiosyncrasies of individual price action ,are key, lack of liquidity could make the more volatile less attractive to a short term trader.
I don't agree that trading is about "how safely you can manage your risk",in my view 99% of trading is about probability ( obviously having it in your favour). Both Warren Buffet and Soros have taken big risks , Soros famously taking a huge position against the pound and some reporting he made a billion in one day , if I remember rightly a 30 billion pound position. After all if you play roulette you can manage your risk all you want , the banker can't, so on your managing risk basis casinos should be bust. They have virtually no management of who and how much is risked , but do have a positive probability.
