Never mix Politics with the Health of the public.

No press briefing and no science behind the reason for the change...

Does it imply the WH (White House) is getting there way in limiting the number of testing and limiting the contact tracking of those that are asymptomatic.

Crazy shit going on with the CDC and White House decision making.

This has happen before back in May...

Their not there. Its the WHO who is getting their way in limiting testing? :) Really?

"But the new directive also lines up with a trend in policy and rhetoric from the White House. President Donald Trump has repeatedly suggested the US should do less testing."

This is the last thing we need to see going into the Flu season when many global health officials expect the health care system to go over capacity with Flu and Covid-19 patients.

Of course Trump forced the CDC to change the guidance -- simply to make COVID-19 look better while he is running for re-election. Other countries are aghast at this change -- which obviously goes against any reasonable public health guidance -- and are wondering if Americans are idiots.

The Southern hemisphere countries have had no flu season (lab confirmed) to speak of this year due to Covid-19 sanitary precautions. Being half as contagious (not checked recently) the masks and distancing, handwashing etc. are dynamite for flu. Plus of course travel restrictions not importing as much.

If only the US had politicians who could keep people on point until Feb 2021 the mix of flu and Covid would not be a major problem.

  7. To boost the poll numbers may be the obvious goal but underneath the Republicans know they need to kill off the White part of their base.

  9. Tests do not matter. Either you have the virus or you don't. If you do, stay home for awhile. Now that is easy to remember unless you have a low IQ of course.
