This is the kind of altruist spirit that gave us Trump Foundation

You don’t need to teach kids to disagree, they’ll agree and disagree naturally. The question is can we teach our kids to disagree respectfully. That would take the different sides entering the debate in good faith. In today’s day and age, there is very little good faith.

So I would say first look to yourself before you look to the kids and ask yourself am I being objective and accepting of the facts.

And the Clinton Foundation does about the same amount of good charitable work as the Trump Foundation.

This is the type of statement that makes respectful discussion difficult.

Your statement above is not based on fact, it’s just something you said because you thought it was a clever comeback. How is anyone going to respect an argument based on a fallacy?

Actually it is truthful - the Clinton Foundation primarily raises money to host conferences that allow government leaders and business people to meet the Clintons while funding the Clinton lifestyle. As noted in example after example including Haiti - despite their broad claims about charitable work -- the Clinton Foundation does nearly no good charitable deeds and spends very little money on proper charity.

Until those on the left accept the reality that the Clinton Foundation is little more than a slush fund for the Clinton family then it will be very difficult to have a proper discourse on how to eliminate this type of abomination in American politics. And has a further discussion there needs to be an elimination of 529s, etc. that do not need to disclose their donors and have unlimited funds to help elect candidates.

Having a civil discussion on how to fix the "money" problems in U.S. politics has a first step. The first step is accepting both the Clinton Foundation and the Trump Foundation are huge problems that must be solved by the elimination of allowing politicians to have associated charitable foundations. We even have a similar problem at the local & state level where politicians use "charity foundations" to fund their lifestyles with business people giving money so these politicians can attend sports events & fly first class.

  10. I recall one of my first encounters on ET with GWB where he was on about nearly all of the Clinton Foundation's money going to pay for gala balls. He was shown to be so completely wrong on a massive scale and yet it makes no difference, he liked the lie more than the truth.

The best thing you can do it show your kids how to identify insipid dishonesty etc. and tell it to STFU. Does not work online as these guys cannot learn but real-world being menacing to both conscious and subconscious works when being nice won't.
