Here are the Hours for the Grains ( Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Soybean Oil, Soybean Meal ) via the CME website:

    Sunday – Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 a.m. CT and
    Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. CT

So does this mean that you can Place a trade on any of these Markets come 7:00 p.m. cst. on Sunday ?

THEN...... do these Markets all Close from 7:45 a.m. cst on Monday and then they RE-OPEN for trading at 8:30 cst. ?

I just want to make sure I understand how these hours work , as I don't want to get hit with Overnight Margin Requirements for holding a trade

Thanks so much for the help

  2. First times are the night session. Second times are the day session. So from 1:20pm-7pm the market would be closed and from 745am to 8:30am also closed.

7 pm Sunday is start of trading because of Asia... They start trading on Monday around this time depending on which exchange. China/HK starts then... Japan an hour earlier, Australia 2 hrs earlier.
