I do both, I cannot say one is better than the other, just different. When I can stay patient and let a swing trade work, the returns can be really good. But I have a hard time being patient. So, as a trade off I do a small day trade each day to stay engaged. The bulk of the funds are in swing trades... opinions?
If I had to do my life over, I would only do long term commodities. Much less time to learn, less commissions, don't have to stare at every tick and most of all have a life outside of trading. Long term for many make so much more wealth.
yup.. after years of effort.. Day trading is just not worth it... too inconsistent.. too stressfull... I just need to learn patience with my swing trades
Biggest advantage of day trading, at least with futures, is extra leverage. Can buy or sell 10+ lots of ES/NQ etc, with not much deposit. This allows for 1000% p/a returns in years when the markets are good to you.
I gave up investing and swing trading years ago. No point earning tons of $$$ (on paper) in a day and the next day it vaporized into thin air. Just do day trading. There is enough trading opportunities on almost every day.

hugh difference, day trading futures, for expample, es gives a 40x day trade margin leverage, that means you can make 40x return in a single session if you are very very lucky.
Last week, weren't you like worrying about quitting your job so you could day trade? Now you can't decide whether to day trade or swing trade? Either you're a troll or you have some serious issues.
Hello Jdesey, Day Trading is VERY easy for me. I do not know what Swing Trading means. sounds like too much unnecessary work.
