    Hey,

i just wanna ask around for peoples experiences executing trades that have a frequency of a few seconds on the US stock market.
This is not competing in HFT or microseconds world, i am talking about kind of automated "scalping" trades that take a few seconds.

To illustrate what kind of trades, see attached picture. This is a system i designed with a lot of research into a gigantic mountain of quote and trade data.

This is a quick short trade that lasts around 2 seconds for a profit of 4 cents a share.
(This specific day is from a recorded SIP feed with my own timestamps).

So this really comes down to execution times, brokers, order routing etc.

I live in Germany and i do use Interactive Brokers for daily strategies until now.
I am inclined to just try this on say 100+ trades.

But i am almost sure that when i try this live i will bleed money endlessly.
And i am pretty sure paper trading is not realistic.
So i am asking around for tips to having this kind of strategy executed properly and what i need to know.
I already have a colocation in the US (but not extra near to exchanges or anything).

Is this strategy feasible? Do i need another broker? What can i get as a german? Am i restricted to PDT rules?
I dont know if i can just muster up 25k to fund a new account.
    Help :(

What are your costs? 4 cents profit is actually huge last I knew profit per trade were fractions of a cent. You can partner with a trading firm and use their infrastructure

My question is more along those lines if this was feasible as a retail algotrader and a retail brokerage, doing this completely alone.

In that case , I say no. But you can partner with a firm. They will vet and probably say no, but who knows. These small inefficiencies don't last long
