Sen. John Fetterman raises alarms with outburst at meeting with union officials

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was meeting last week with representatives from a teachers union in his home state when things quickly devolved.

Before long, Fetterman began repeating himself, shouting and questioning why “everybody is mad at me,” “why does everyone hate me, what did I ever do” and slamming his hands on a desk, according to one person who was briefed on what occurred.

  2. What he did was ran as a Bernie progressive than turned into a Manchin,Senima,Biden Democrat. That's why progressives hate him and that's why he will be kicked out of office just like Manchin,Senima,Biden in his next election.

Well if the Dems want you out anyway, just vote to confirm Trump's appointments.
It will be you and Vance that take the country back.

  4. When going from Bernie progressive to Manchin,Senima,Biden type Democrat goes wrong.

Fettermens approval and polling will be so bad around re election time like Manchin,Senima and Biden he will probably drop his re election bid.

  5. He stepped too far off the progressive reservation. They were okay with the brain damage so long as he parroted the talking points, but going off script, that's a no-no. Now they are concerned abouy his mental health, has clearly gone mad and must be removed.

  6. If he wasn't going to be a progressive he shouldn't have ran promising to be one.Democrat voters are no longer putting up with that.Dem voters made it clear they wanted a progressive when they choose him over establishment Dem Conner Lamb in the primary.

Like Sinema and Biden he will be a one termer.

  7. Not really the point whether he ran as a progressive Democrat. The point is he was clearly brain damaged from the stroke pre election day and the left had no problem with it. Now it's a problem? Is it a surprise that a person with brain damage might be inconsistent with his political views? If he had stayed on script he could be a drooling idiot shitting himself in public and they'd be making excuses and covering for him.

Who would you rather have? Herschel Walker with CTE, Tommy Tubberville with Hillbilly flu or Fetterman post stroke?

  9. Thats true.Never meant to dispute that point.A brain damaged Sanders progressive is better than a healthy establishment Democrat as long as the damage doesn't have you acting like an establishment Dem imo.

It depends on which side of the brain was damaged for those individuals for someone to properly be able to answer which person would be better in politics, decision making and emotional processing...the Left side of the brain versus the Right side of the brain issues.

Also, you would want to look at their recent medical history (e.g. severe Covid infections, treatments for Covid, comas and intubation et cetera)

Coming out of a global Pandemic, I would be very concerned about someone's decision making process who is a politician and had a severe Covid infection or increasing number of Covid infections even if they did not require any type of hospitalization that would have allowed a hospital with special training to examine a patient for cognitive decline or impairment.

The same is true of any politician who survived a life threatening event...mental illness problems like PTSD from the life threatening event can also cause cognitive decline or impairment even if the outside world or family members view them as being "normal".

With that said, someone with CTE is permanently damaged (brain) versus someone who survived a stroke who has a better chance at repairing some types of brain injury through a process called neuroplasticity.

A high percentage number of people with CTE will experience dementia later in life, often in the 60s or 70s. Walker is 63 years old while Fetterman is 55 years old.
