Prof. Thom Lambert of the University of Missouri Law School has responded with alarm to President Barack Obama's attack on the Supreme Court and the power of judicial review by recalling his own days as Obama's student at the University of Chicago.

Lambert, who writes for the "Truth on the Market" blog, not only studied under Obama, but also clerked for the federal judge who issued an order yesterday demanding that the Department of Justice clarify whether the government believed courts had the power to overturn constitutional laws.

Lambert wrote:

Lambert added: "Fortunately...[t]his morning, the judge for whom I clerked, Judge Jerry E. Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, called the President’s bluff....I must say, I’m pretty dang proud of Judge Smith right now. And I’m really looking forward to reading that three-page, single-spaced letter."

The judiciary is appalled at Obama's comments. Everything out of Obama's mouth is political even to the extent that it slanders his own education and knowledge.

I will actually be surprised if Holder himself presents a 3 page letter to the appellate court. He already should be in contempt of Congress why not be in contempt of the court, too?

Congrats Mr. Obama... you really did "fundamentally transform" the U.S.... toward becoming one of those Third World cesspools that formed your character as you grew up.

 

I saw that Obama was trying to walk back those comments about judicial activism today and it wasn't too convincing. The spin and distortion already being propagated by the Obama regime is stunning. They are literally trying to say that Obamacare was a republican initiative. It leaves a guy speechless to see prevarication on that scale. It just seems like Barrack Obama will do anything and say anything so long as it gets him reelected. He hasn't ended a single war yet. He is still torturing prisoners at Guantanamo with no plans to close that facility. He has NOT united the American people and works as hard as he can to divide them. Yet all of the Obama supporters in P&R say they are still devoted to him and will vote for him again.

 

AK-47 loves his inflatable Obama boyfriend; not sure what the others' excuses are. Mental illness I guess.

 

I honestly don't think any of them are old enough to vote. Not one of them has ever exhibited the intelligence of an adult.

 

Either that or welfare recipients.

Seriously, I have a hard time believing Obama doesn't know better. Hopefully the parasite class hasn't achieved critical mass yet. We'll see in November.
