It’s not about specific game. COD would benefit from these efforts and may or should be doing the same. If everyone abandoned Apple then they might change their stance.

COD and battlefield are epic. Also great: assassins creed, doa5, god of war, gta, mk, nfs

Fortnite is about ~0.5 of their rev, all other games = i don't know, but,
can we make a guess, of let's say - $5 Bil.

,,Apple's App Store platform grossed around $50 billion in 2019, according to analysis by CNBC. At $50 billion in sales per year, the App Store alone would be no.Jan 8, 2020''

Hmnn, will they change their approach because of 2% ~ 5% missing in rev ? honestly - i doubt. Because that could sabotage the $50B.
(yet not all of it is gaming, since gaming was $47B or so )

Microsoft is bringing some alternative in autumn, gonna be interesting.

Yeah, Apple may not change because of lost revenues, but at some point the government or lawsuits may force them to. Apple acts like mafia and extorts huge % of revenues from companies in exchange for "protection", even when not processing payments for those apps. That's like Microsoft charging everyone 30% just for allowing us to use 3rd party products.

"Epic Games said it’s not looking for monetary compensation, but to legally force Apple to change its policies."
