It's good to see this idiotic equity grading program dropped.

Superintendent Maria Su then put the plan on hold, citing widespread “misinformation.”

 

This plan needs to be completely dropped. It's idiotic that the Superintendent is merely putting it on hold. There is no "misinformation"; the program has been outlined in detail and it is complete failure from the get-go. Even most liberals don't support it.

 

I think they will implement it piece by piece with very little notice.

 

My reading of the comments on r/bayarea & r/sanfrancisco is that the locals really hated it. If Su implements it, it will just lead to more recall efforts like during the covid with the BoS recalls.

I'm pretty sure it will lead to more parents moving their kids to private school. You have a similar problem in Oakland as well with a huge exodus to Oakland & Berkeley private schools.
