    They would not be closing it if it were profitable.

    I suspect investors notice that their managed investments performance were not equal to higher then overall market investments performance and , withdrew.

    Investors are smarter now. If they don't see high returns, they will leave.

    Not necessarily. Businesses often close things that are doing just fine if they have strategic reasons for focusing on other things.

    It's an incubator. Wouldn't have had any outside investment.
