Hey Trump, did you ask Perry what he knows about nuclear fusion?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by futurecurrents, Dec 22, 2016.

  1. Nuclear fusion is what the sun does. It promises to save mankind from many problems. But it requires basic science research, the kind best done by government funded energy research facilities. The kind dumb-ass Rick Perry will now be asked to be the boss of. The kind he wants to dismantle.

Guaranteed he has no clue what it even is. Neither does dumb-ass Trump.

Fucking short sighted ignorant morons are taking over our government.

Actually the republicans won the election, Hillary said she accepts the outcome and encouraged people to support the new president. Only the bitter dead-enders feel the way you do and they simply don't matter now. Welcome to obscurity.

    Bwahahahahahahaha!

  4. What are you babbling about now idiot? Are you trying to say that Obama has not had competent people running the DOE and has maintained basic science research funding into fusion?

Guaranteed Obama knows what fusion is. His director of the DOE has told him about it.

What chance that the fossil fuel industry that is about to take over our government wants to see fusion happen?

I can't even believe what unhinged trolls these lefties are.
fraudcurrents you know how Peter Thiel is... right?

    http://www.smh.com.au/business/ener...etting-on-nuclear-fusion-20161122-gsvahk.html

Despite relative ambivalence toward fusion by the Obama administration, research has continued apace internationally, and in the American public and private sector.

At the head of this pack are venture capitalists like Peter Thiel, the Silicon Valley billionaire who spoke at the 2016 Republican National Convention and is said to be working on the Trump transition team. He has funded a fusion start-up called Helion Energy through his Mithril Capital Management to pursue the ultimate dream of environmentalists the world over.

Thiel is on the record as a proponent of the existing form of commercial nuclear energy, fission. He penned an op-ed in the New York Times last year lamenting what he described as a functional, safe, and clean energy technology that became "frozen in time," particularly after the Three-Mile Island nuclear accident of the late 1970s.

More than 100 nuclear plants have been cancelled over the years. "If we had kept building, our power grid could have been carbon-free years ago," he wrote.

Nuclear projects have been sitting in the cesspools of Washington for decades. As it is now nobody not even Exxon and Warren Buffet can afford to get them rolling. They all need massive government taxpayers dollars. Nuclear is about the only legitimate purpose for the existence of the DOE. Lead or get out of the way.

I thought about this. That Obama and his team were ambivalent... which means did virtually nothing... shows you that the left is not into agw for the clean planet they are in it for control.
