Same problem as prior % polls. How will you define, in this case, the % return for a prop trader whose trading is based on varying buying power and not an asset base?

I agree that this pole doesn't make a lot of sense, especially for people using leveraged money, prop traders with buying power, etc. Perhaps a better question would be what sector did most of your gains come from this past year? The energy sector really made my year. Integrated oils, but mostly refiners and drillers. More recently, names from the Nat Gas sector.
