    2005 is getting away from us, how did you do in 2005? It would be interesting to know how other traders fare .

  3. Same problem as prior % polls. How will you define, in this case, the % return for a prop trader whose trading is based on varying buying power and not an asset base?

  6. Well, since I started trading in 2003 I managed to bring my losses up to very near the £100000 mark.
     
  7. I agree that this pole doesn't make a lot of sense, especially for people using leveraged money, prop traders with buying power, etc.

    Perhaps a better question would be what sector did most of your gains come from this past year?

    The energy sector really made my year.
    Integrated oils, but mostly refiners and drillers.
    More recently, names from the Nat Gas sector.
