Bernie's idea is give your money to the government and then stand in line for your benefits. and for some reason the line to hand over your paycheck is very short, but the line you have to stand in to get your benefits is always getting longer
"Bernie Sanders is a democratic socialist. He believes that our current economic system isn't doing enough for poor and middle-class Americans and that democratic change is needed to create a more fair and just America. But this isn't radical or scary! Many of the programs instituted by Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson that we take for granted today — such as Medicare, the 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, and Social Security — can be considered socialist programs."
I seem to remember Bernie saying during the Iowa Caucus that he plans to pay for all his socialist programs by taxing wall st speculators. (thats everybody on this message board) I imagine he would implement the .25% tax on trades. For the average person who just buys $1,000 worth of stock at scottrade, instead of $7 per trade, he'd end up paying $9.50. For traders like us that put in $10-$20 million of sell orders per month, our trading fees would go from a few thousand per month to $30k-$55k per month. Basically day trading would be over.
