While traveling ( Vacations) Looking to not bring a laptop but be able on long (12hr car drives ) to be able read on a iPad / iPad-air or such device in the car. With the RARE Chance of checking the market and possible trade when at destination but usually out at sunrise fishing, but if its raining........ Use my iphone 15pro to get a text or make calls, will not read anything else on it, just a communication device for me. Home set up is (3) 27 inch Dell Monitors so I hate being on any thing small. So while traveling want to be able to stay current. Any one whit first hand using a ipad ? Tablets ? Suggestions ?
If you want to ever plug in an external monitor to your ipad, you should get at least the M2 IPad Air to do that. If your preferred broker app on ipad will support it, it’ll make trading more fun. Otherwise almost any iPad would do, but getting an M chip should future proof it for awhile longer.
Just buy an iPad hdmi apple adapter. Walmarts....Best Buy...Office depot shoukd have them. Just make sure the adapter is an apple adapter and not some other brand as cheaper brands sometimes won' t function with sound or video correctly. Hook the adapter up to your iPad and and hdmi cable to adapter . Run cable to hotel TV and plug into hotel TV. Use TV control to set hdmi to correct hdmi. Then hotel TV can act as your monitor. You can do this also from your IPhone if you have that Instead of an ipad. APPLE adapter lighting to hdmi. If iPad has usbc then USB to hdmi adapter. Cost around 50 bucks plus tax for adapter plus 25 ft hdmi cord and lay in hotel bed and trade to your hearts content. On first big gain send wife to outlet stores or Dillard's and all will be well. If big loss throw adapter in hotel trash send wife to Walmarts and you focus on fishing.
Or if you have apple airplay you can shoot ipad screen to hotel TV without hdmi cables and adapter. I prefer cables.
