I literally want to block all their messages, cause it's a hard feeling watching someone you know makes money. Do you guys actually talk about market with friends? It's so sick when someone recommended a stock which you didn't buy, and they actually made money and yourself lose money on other stocks. Thanks,
Think carefully about this question. Who do you want to mix with? A) mix with traders who are successful and are earning tons of money B) mix with hopeless useless lousy condemned traders who are unsuccessful and are losing tons of money There are very few people in the group A category. You are fortunate to have friends in the group A category. If you want to mix with people from the group B category, that is very easy because there are lots of them.
They are not full time trader and they are using "tips" to trade, so I assume they kinda just gambling, and I never asked if they made money or not in the longterm, But it just sucks seeing someone you know made money, and myself studying hard losing money, I guess this is part of the mental part in this game? But damn I want to delete them because of my jealousy.
It's painful to your ego, but use the rational side & take advantage of that information. Maybe they did so just because of the overall SnP run. Select those who are consistent then, & analize their trades. Success leaves clues.
There are tips and there are tips. Some smallcap stocks in sexy sectors can move really fast and dramatically on little analyst / media coverage. A tip which says such and such a stock is moving up fast is a crude form of TA - that's momentum trading - not gambling. Might be worth considering what your friends are doing.
It seems like it is not wise to be in contact with them since they are not having any useful trading skills.
A trick for happiness is not giving a damn about others. A bit of emotional intelligence is good, but living a "second hand" life by comparing or caring about opinions is not. Focus on yourself.
Thats what I thought, but feels so jealous when someone dont study the market made money, and myself lose money. I think trading should be kept to yourself and not listenning to any friends other than those who trade serious.
Life ain't fair, beside they just got lucky. Watch carefully the jealousy emotion, don't want that to turn into resentment. Better use it, as a fuel, to get your goals achieved. Download it as mp3 and listen. Timestamped (don't mind video editing, just the words)
Sounds like they are doing pump & dump's. There is no way that somebody can consistently win like that. Trust me. If they are not, then they are losing money too; they just don't tell you. If you don't believe me, just follow their stock(s). If they are really good for real, then you end up making some money too but trust me, they are not as good as what they make it out to be.
