Kochs Plan to Spend $900 Million on 2016 Campaign

Discussion in 'Politics' started by futurecurrents, Jan 26, 2015.

  1. The political network overseen by the conservative billionaires Charles G. and David H. Koch plans to spend close to $900 million on the 2016 campaign, an unparalelled effort by outside groups to shape a presidential election that is already on track to be the most expensive in history.

The goal, revealed Monday at the Kochs’ annual winter donor retreat near Palm Springs, Calif., would effectively allow their political organization to operate at the same financial scale as the Democratic and Republican parties. In the last presidential election, the Republican National Committee and the party’s two congressional campaign committees spent a total of $657 million.

And how many millions did Soros spend last election?

    Good for the Koch's.

Btw, your own huffpost reported the labor unions spent 1.7B on the 2012 elections.....

So two righties alone (would) account for half of union spending.

Yeah, thankfully there's somebody that has the resources and willingness to combat all the Unions. Who knows how screwed up this country would be without them.

Was the country screwed up in the 50's and 60's when union membership was high?

Yes it was. The unions in the 50s and 60s had a direct correlation to the downfall of American manufacturing and product quality. Structured union environments stifled corporation innovation and prevented companies from adapting to change.

LOL, Rectum thinks the era of Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters was great for labor. Extortion and racketeering is just the ticket for our resident commies.

He and Judy Garland probably liked the separate drinking fountains for the coloreds, too.

    :D

So with the downfall of unions, the nation is no longer screwed up. Or if it still screwed up, it's for other reasons. In the meantime, generations come and go, pointing fingers.
