Hello everyone, I've been adviced by a friend to check out the kospi 200 options market. Now, after contacting few brokerage firms I got different quotes regarding the trading fees and commissins charged. My question is, Does anyone knows what are the fees charged by the KRX itself (without the broker's fees) for trading the Kospi 200 option? Any help would be appreciated, gbentor
There are two parts of expense, KRX(in Korea, such as NYSE) + brokerfee. And possibly, your local broker in US charges some fee to you, as well as hidden broker in Korea. For example, if you buy China stock, then there are three brokers, US broker+HK broker+China broker, who smiles to make money.
Unlike expensive CME exchange fees, KRX exchange fees are so cheap that they are almost negligible. Most of fees are imposed by brokers. In South Korea, usually a round trip would cost 2000 won about $1.70.
Are you a US based trader? If so, I am curious to know which broker you are trading through. Do you mind letting me know? Thanks.
