Hey all!, I am about to enrol in Financial Planning Level 1 through Kaplan, which will inevitably lead to a diploma. Anyone here studied this, or through Kaplan? Thoughts?
Is this a certificate or a "degree"? If it is a degree program you might want to consider a traditional school (aka not for profit). There are MANY regular schools doing online degrees including the University of Alabama, The University of Maryland and many others. A Kaplan degree might be better than some other for profit schools but it still has the stigma of being a "for profit".
Hey wartrace, Its a diploma, 2nd year is an advanced diploma. Im going to do some part time study as i work fulltime.
1) Which "credential" are you hoping to attain later on? 2) When was the last time you met someone who bragged about the guy they hired who graduated from Kaplan?
Just personal development nazzdack, wouldnt mind expanding my limited financial knowledge, plus $1980 for a internationally recognised qualification seems like a good deal to me.
https://www.kaplanprofessional.edu.au/Financial_Services/Financial_Planning/Level1DFP Ok, it is a study course to pass the exam. I would have no problem with taking the course. I thought you were enrolling in a 4 year degree program with Kaplan.
1) Instead of enrolling in a structured course, couldn't you learn the same stuff merely by buying an Idiots or Dummies Guide to Financial Planning? 2) Do you already have proven sales experience? Do you really want to "deal with the public"?
