Any of you considered leaving America? I know most countries won't allow me to bring my guns with me, but from what I've been reading, there are numerous other countries out there that have MUCH more going for them than what we do. And no, I don't forsee America getting ANY better anytime soon. This "hope and change" was basically the final straw that broke the camel's back.
I have. Dude if we're gonna live in just another socialist shithole, why live here? I mean we have Mexicants pouring the fuck over the border, BY THE MILLIONS, including the most unsavory elements of their society. We have a racist, corrupt, wannabe tyrant pres, a truly nazi-like party in the Dems, and seemingly a majority of voters that are irrational lemmings who follow these fools blindly. And most importantly, the Constitution, our pact as citizens with our government and the foundation of our society is just outright trampled like it doesn't even exist. there really is no where else to go though.. unless you want to just escape the grid and move into the wilderness of like northern canada or alaska where no one will fuck with you. Maybe Switzerland, they seem to have weathered all storms for some time, and entrust the citizens with guns. But I'm not sure what their immigration policy is like.
Agreed completely! And as for Switzerland, I know they issue males over 18 a Sig .308 rifle, but only 50 rounds of ammo can be in the home. Yes, they often come to homes at random to "inventory" the ammunition, and inspect the rifle. None the less, I do like the fact that they can at least protect themselves for a short time. My question is where to go? I hate snow and ice, and don't want to have to learn another language. No, I won't live in Italy even though my Family is from there, and I can speak it. Italy's not for me besides going to eat good food.
Interesting. Thanks for the post! Found this concerning the Czech republic: http://www.icarry.org/ftopict-2656-.html
I'm putting in a new pool and spa this winter so the dog and I may never leave home again. Except to go to the grocery store, of course. Maybe I should set up some pill boxes on the corners for defense.
On a serious note, if you take any rx meds, see if your doctor will write you six months at once. When the shtf, the pharmacies will be the first place people make a run on.
I think about this all the time, and am currently actively engaged in finding a way to avoid taxes, just for 10 years atleast, before i start a family. Here are all the cons i have faced so far from moving around, and not having a stable place where to live. 1.) Hard to find a girl who is willing to give you ten years to amasse a fortune before you settle down for the family thing. Only girls i have met so far willing to do this with me are girls who have no intention of having a family, and very little intention of even having a job. Though i once met a quality chick at a brothel in argentina who definitely seemed to want a relationship..... She had the marriage papers all ready to sign before i even went home, now there is someone who is commmitted, hard to deny she wanted me for my personality, and nothing more. 2.) Almost any area you go to has drawbacks which you wouldnt think of that basically eliminates the pros of being able to live a tax free life. For example i went to Panama for a bit and was thinking about incorporating for 0 income tax, but over the time i spent there the internet and power outages were almost enough to elminate the tax benefit, and there is no way in hell i could ever trust the place enough to settle down and start a family. 3.) This one is huge for traders, if you trade through a U.S. firm, and you move to a place like Belize, the U.S. will still try to tax you if you trade through an american company, even without u.s. citizenship. The tax treaty whereby the u.s. will allow you to go tax free as a foreigner only applies if you live in a place where you pay taxes to someone and they have a tax treaty with the u.s. I.E. most of these places you can live in where taxes are zero, if you have a trading account in a u.s. company, the government is going to figure out a way to get something out of it. So your only option is to find a company that has the same quality access to u.s. markets, without actually being in the u.s. I worked for one based out of cyprus, and as you can imagine, look what just happened to cyprus. I was very lucky not to have much tied in with them.
There are legal ways to have $ tied to the spx that when withdrawn, can be taken out COMPLETELY tax free. Yes, in the US. Libertarians love it. Democrats (communists), hate it.
Yes, you can do that, invest in U.S. stocks from foreign brokerages, what you cant do is use a u.s. firm to day trade the u.s. market and pay zero taxes from abroad. If i was rich enough to be at a stage where i could just run a portfolio and live at my standards, then id be all over it.
