What do they use to have a market context vision apart from using several timeframes?
    Any suggestion?
Any index, bond, currency or raw material?

Trading on days like today is very difficult,
it is difficult to know where the price will go.

Here is what I look at, not that it works every time:-

ES 1 minute chart yesterday showing opening 1st minute bar (RTH) midpoint @ 3223.50 then opening 1st 5 minutes midpoint @ 3222.50 and finally 1st 30 minutes midpoint @ 3218.50

Because both 1st 5 mins and 1st 30 minutes midpoints are below 1st minute I was bearish for rest of session.

Then today 1st minute bar midpoint @ 3197.75, and 1st 5 minutes @ 3195.50 and 1st 30 minutes @ 3197.50 (rounded) I was again bearish but not as strongly since 1st minute and 1st 30 minutes were basically the same and 30 min was above 5 min.

If you trade commodities futures instruments, then seasonal data, natural disaster, production data, geopolitics and alternative futures instrument may provide another perspective.

If you swing or long term trade. Otherwise, if you daytrade, for the most they are meaningless.
